We are in conversations with several other cast members and producers about their attendance at the event and will know soon if their schedule will allow for them to join us. We’ll announce them here as soon as we know!
Goonies Concert
A Goonies themed concert at Warren Field, as seen in the opening of the film, with performances by:
Truth Movement – Corey Feldman’s Pink Floyd inspired class rock band will start their 2010 summer tour here in Astoria. http://www.myspace.com/technologyanalogy
The Ataris – Alternative band whose album in 2003 titled So Long, Astoria references their love of the film and a trip they took to Astoria to see the Goonies sites. General timeline would be HQ open 9am to 6pm and other events happening on Friday starting at 5pm, Sat and Sun going from 9am to 9pm/later, and Monday starting at 8 or 9am and wrapping up around 2/3pm.
80s Night Out
Dress in your 80s best and hit the town for a fun night in Astoria. Many businesses in Astoria will be adding a little 80s flair to their establishments for example, 80s cover bands, costume contests and more.
Lower Columbia Bowl (aka Chunk’s Bowling Alley) will be playing 80s music during their cosmic bowling event.
Treasure Hunt
Many local businesses will be participating in this treasure hunt for fans.
This activity is being shaped as we add more participants, but expect a fun way to spend your free time exploring our communities. Possible proof of doing the hunt by bringing back a memento or photo of you at a certain location and those that complete the hunt will be rewarded with treasure, of course!
